I am a relational psychotherapist that provides therapy to individuals and couples.

This means that while addressing what’s in the here and now, I also consider assumptions or expectations that might be held just below the surface.  Sometimes, these old beliefs can function on a different register, leading to certain reactions, relationship issues or indecisions about your life. My approach is warm, interactive, and pragmatic. Listening carefully to your concerns, I’ll respond thoughtfully, openly and with curiosity. I want to better understand you, the issue at hand, and the complexity of your experiences. I’ll share my thinking, ask you questions and work with you to cultivate a deeper understanding of what may be going on, to support you in making adjustments going forward that feel in alignment with you.

If you have felt really challenged to step into your life, uncertain of how to make moves that feel embodied or reflective of your desires; or don't have a good sense of who you are, carrying around the ache of sadness, anxiety or past relationship wounds, or perhaps you straddle multiple identities and are trying to find a way where the whole complexity of you and your experience can be understood and explored, my practice serves people like you.

I believe that therapy is most useful if it facilitates personal growth through a caring and supportive therapeutic relationship. People who work with me report feeling a sense of acceptance, which allows us to come up with creative solutions, take risks and experience more expansive ways of being. This is often very transformative and opens up new possibilities for how you may move in your life, work, and relationships.

Working together, we may see old problems in a new light. As we come to know your strengths, we will develop a greater understanding of the obstacles that are holding you back, and help you take steps to creating a life that feels more full.
